So, yesterday, August 14th my boyfriend and I moved into our new headquarters. We got a really nice fully furnished suite, and the set up to get our apartment was much like a school registration: sign in, get the card that needs to be signed by each station; carports, storage, our keys, our pool/fitness/rec room pass, freebees, a packet of useful (or useless) information, and finally a check-in list.
Before we could start moving in our boxes, we had to go through the check-in list, which required us to look at every detail of the apartment, and write down anything wrong with it, then turn it back in and put in work orders for the things that needed to be immediately fixed... like our molding cabinet underneath the sink.. or the burnt off rubber sealer to the dishwasher. Seeing the piles upon piles of papers of work orders, I figured it'd take a few weeks to get around to ours; turned out to be a couple of hours.

The only thing the guy couldn't do is fix the rubber sealant, so he is ordering it on monday for us. Next, we had to decide what furniture was staying and what was going to be stuffed in our cozy 4x4 storage. Seeing as we had no entertainment center, we chucked the desk and nightstand, and replaced them with a nice matching entertainment center, desk, and bookshelf instead.
So far, we have made 2 Walmart Trips, and a Target trip, and depleted our set aside money for moving in costs. And yet still, we need drapes, more drawer savers, and a rubber door sealer to keep the bugs out at night. >_> And stocking the pantries and fridge would be a nice thing too.
However, we've done a very quick and great job at setting up and putting away what we could right now. I'm very excited to finish unpacking the last two boxes and put everything in its place today, and finally breathe without having to worry.
Band camp technically starts tomorrow, and I'm no where near prepared. Tomorrow is just the meeting for new students, so we can get acquainted with our staff and leadership, and know what to expect for band camp for the next solid week. Monday I register for my classes, and then Tuesday it's back to band camp for me. I'm very nervous. I hope they don't high mark time... that would suck, but I suppose I could deal.
So much has been happening and my head has been spinning. I don't think I'll get a chance to breath until this Marching Season is over! But we shall see.

Even that you will wake up is an assumption.
